Roaches: An Overview

The cockroaches, typically can measure up to 2 inches in length. Though, the tropical species can be larger than the cockroaches found in any other climate. They have 6 legs, 2 antennae and some have wings. Most winged cockroaches, though, don’t fly well.
The cockroaches can be found in decaying organic material. They can also be found invading homes and other places where humans live, work and play. Unfortunately, cockroaches can carry different diseases, which can be a big problem because they are often found in the kitchen by water or where there is food.
Sometimes, cockroaches make sounds. For example, the Madagascar hissing cockroach is one of the loudest. You might hear other cockroaches click or chirp. They also can emit nasty odors, as well as transmit diseases through their feces.
These pesky pests come into your home in a variety of ways. They might find their way in through a crack or a crevice. They might use a vent, sewer or drain pipe to come inside. They can even come inside homes on things like grocery sacks or purses. They love homes that have food to feast on and water. They also like warmth.

Also, the debris from their skins, feces, and dead bodies are likely to cause issues with allergies and asthma. Further, their feces can spread disease.
